Summer crafts

I went to the beach a couple of days ago and I picked up some really nice shells. I then went to a DIY store and bought some seriously strong glue and so I then started to glue the shells together. I was thinking of making necklaces but the sculptures I made look good in bathrooms.

My style

You should come up with a style, and base most of your crafts on the style. My style is mostly fruit(food), cute things, odd bits like my mushrooms, hama bead products. This is one of my favourite things that i am going to make into a necklace.

Mushrooms

I have been making odd bits and pieces and one of those pieces was actually a little mushroom. I have made a few mushrooms, out of many different coloured felt-light blue and white was my first ever mushroom, I then made a purple and lilac mushrrom for one of my friends. The mushrooms always make people smile and I am thinking of incorprating the mushroom into a necklace so people could wear them. I like to make people smile with my products.

My Vacuum Car

I have been part of a DT course. During the course I have made a little car. As you can guess, I used the vacuum forming process. Which, basically, heats up a thermo plastic-NOT thermo setting plastic. Then when the thermo plastic is loose enough, the plastic is shaped around a mould. Then cool air(or the vacuum) is used to cool the plastic and then when totally cool the mould is removed. My plastic car was cut out of the big sheet and my car had started to form.

Then I drilled holes, for the wheels. I measured the axels and then added the wheels. My car was done. To test my car, the course organiser had set up a mini ramp and I had to measure the distance and time to work out the speed. Mine didn't really go far or fast, the fastest it went was 18Speed/DT.

Hama Beads

Hama Beads have been one of my favourite time wasters, ever since I was little. So one of my many craft skills is comming up with random stars and circles. So I went on online and I found out how to make fruit. So to add to my Hama Bead knowledge, I found out how to make fruit-Watermelon slices and Orange slices.
